Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis Research Versus Arthritis launch

St George's Park, Burton-upon-Trent

St. George’s Park is the home of the new National Football Centre and is the training base for the 24 England teams. It is also the home of FA Learning, The FA’s educational department. St. George’s Park provides a platform for the communication of The Future Game philosophy, which outlines a vision for the development of English football.

The official launch for the Centre at St George's Park on 10th June 2013 was attended by almost 90 people representing sport, academia, research and industry.

The day started with a warm welcome and brief overview of the day from Dr Mark Batt, Centre Director. Dr Liam O'Toole, CEO of Versus Arthritis, followed by outlining the new Centre and Versus Arthritis

This was followed by several interesting and informative presentations including three from the Centre's Sports Ambassadors.

The day was completed with a tour of the world class facilities at St George's Park.
