Centre researchers attend Living Well Oxford PPI event

Centre researchers Madi  Davies and Dr Stefan Kluzek represented the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Sport, Exercise and Osteoarthritis at the May 2017 Living Well Oxford PPI event in Cowley.

This event was held in a mall and allowed them to engage with members of the public about osteoarthritis, physical activity and the research that is being undertaken in this area. It was an opportunity to share with members of the public how important physical activity is for overall health and wellbeing, and why it is important for all of us to understand the relationship between physical activity and osteoarthritis.

Conversations with members of the public were beneficial for the researchers, where they heard the types of questions and misconceptions around osteoarthritis.

Madi stated, "I know this experience will help me to increase the impact of my future research through better messaging for a lay audience."
