Prof Maria Stokes (OBE) invited talk at Houses of Parliament

Prof Maria Stokes, accompanied by Dr Dave Wilson and two public representatives from Corhampton Golf Club, Chris Cheesman and Greta Curtis, went to the Houses of Parliament on Wed 3rd April to meet with the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Golf. Prof Stokes gave a talk about research into the health benefits of golf, including the project on strength and balance in older golfers, sponsored by The R&A.  Prof Stokes stressed that the research on the health benefits of golf will only be worthwhile if golf is made more widely accessible for people from all walks of life to have the opportunity to improve their health.
