The impact of osteoarthritis development on locomotor activity and muscle inflammation and metabolism in a rodent model

What the research hopes to achieve

The aim of this study is to investigate the development of the muscle atrophy in a rodent pain model of osteoarthritis. Since inflammation is an important feature of OA pathology, and it is associated with the progression of OA pain, as well as being a major factor in driving muscle atrophy, the impact of OA on muscle inflammation and atrophy is being studied
